Systems Specialist
MedAllies, a dynamic and growing health information technology organization, is looking for a bright, versatile, energetic and thoroughly competent Systems Specialist to join our team. Apart from the core competencies described below, a client oriented service mindset with constant readiness to satisfy customer obligations is a requirement for this position. The Systems Specialist will be responsible for server and client side EHR installs for MedAllies’ client base. The Systems Specialist will also be expected to assist supporting MedAllies’ internal IT infrastructure and the support and monitoring of HIE interfaces.
The Systems Specialist will be responsible for installing and configuring Electronic Health Record (EHR) Systems, rolling out application updates and patches and troubleshooting client connectivity, hardware, software and system issues. They will also be responsible for supporting MedAllies’ Health Information Exchange (HIE) interfaces, working with cross-functional teams to address internal IT issues, and assisting the IT Administrator with internal infrastructure.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required; Master’s degree preferred. 5+ years of IT experience is required. Experience with Windows, SQL and.or Oracle is required. Experience with Linux with RedHat Enterprise 4.5 or Debian 5 is preferred. Knowldge of Apache/Tomcat is strongly preffered. Healthcare IT experience is a plus. Experience with EHR systems, specifically eClincalWorks is preferred. Experience with Cognos and eClinicalWorks EBO is a plus. The ideal candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
